Artist Submission Guidelines

Thank you for your interest regarding submission of your artwork to the Portland Museum of Art. The Museum exhibits the work of living artists in its biennial juried exhibition of artists associated with the state of Maine; in small thematic group shows; and in exceptional cases, solo exhibitions. We welcome the opportunity to review and learn more about the work of artists active in the region.

The curatorial staff would be pleased to receive color photographs or 35mm slides of your artwork, accompanied by a current resume or curriculum vitae, and a brief statement. Written documents may be kept for our files. If you wish to have your photographs or slides returned, a self-addressed stamped envelope would be greatly appreciated. The curatorial staff will contact you if there is an opportunity to display or purchase your work.
